Opinion- Which Band Gives The Best Show From Our POYP Lineup?

This Saturday, KLAQ will be hosting the Party On Your Patio virtual music concert event. From 3 p.m. all the up to midnight we will be rocking you with live versions of songs from some of your favorite KLAQ bands and artists. The lineup is pretty stacked, with plenty of rock legends to remind you of the good old days when we could enjoy concerts as a group. And by good old days I mean like the beginning of March when KISS came to town and performed at the Don Haskins Center. So many of us went to that show, not knowing it would be our last big concert we would see for whoh knows how long. We know it hurts, which is why KLAQ is bringing you this amazing event, filled with real interviews from the artists you will be hearing. In case you aren't familiar or have been living under a rock, here are the bands that will be rocking your patio on Saturday:

• Fozzy
• Halestorm
• Disturbed
• Five Finger Death Punch
• Shinedown
• Judas Priest
• Motley Crue
• Def Leppard
• Joan Jett
• Poison

So the question is- which band do you think has the best live show out of all those we're going to be playing that day? I'm lucky enough to have seen 7 out of the 10 acts we have. So this is just my opinion on those performers, judging off of a simple criteria:

• Stage setup
• Sound quality (how much it sounds like the album or better)
• Use of extras (pyro, special guests, etc)
• Band's stage energy
• Crowd interaction

Using these five metrics,we're going to take a walk down my memory lane and remember all of these badass shows. To be honest, every one of the bands we have are pretty amazing in concert. If you get the chance to see any of them, just spend the money and worry about the minor details later. If there is one thing that we've learned during this pandemic, it's take the time to experience moments you may never have a chance to again. And considering all the concerts that have been postponed this year, it may be awhile before you get to see a live show again.
