New Water Park For Northeast El Paso? It Could Happen!

There may be a cool way to cool off coming to notheast El Paso!

An article in the El Paso Times says the city is seeking bids to build a water park next to, Cohen Stadium in the northeast.  City Development Department spokesman Javier Camacho said:

"There are no minimum bids and each submission will be graded based on what the proposal would include."

City documents state that the park would include

a water park/aquatic facility, athletic sports complex and an adventure park with rock climbing and/or zip lines.

If no satisfactory bids are received by the city, then the bidding may be opened up to companies outside El Chuco or a new request for bids may be submitted.  According to KTSM channel 9, an indoor sports complex could be included as well!
