El Paso is usually ranked among the safest cities in the USA. We do have crime though and, sometimes, our criminals are good for a giggle - like this Tractor Supply burglar.

This wacky crime story has Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department looking for a burglar with some decent fort building skills. And a slight case of narcolepsy. He broke into a Tractor Supply on Alameda and the video will totally brighten your day ... even if it is Monday.

This guy broke into the garden area of the Tractor Supply store which is sort of "open". Security camera footage shows him try to break through a glass door with a skateboard.

Skateboards Aren't Good Demolition Tools

I'm not super familiar with Tractor Supple but, given that he was in the garden area, I'm pretty sure he could have found a shovel or something, (anything), a little more effective than his skateboard to use.

When plan A failed, KVIA reports the crook then helped himself to some drinks and snacks, built a fort and took a nap. He ran away in the morning when employees opened the store and woke him up.

Police say that suspect is Hispanic, with dark hair, late teens to early 20s, 5’8” in height, with a thin build.  He was wearing a white T-shirt and dark-colored jeans. The suspect caused an estimated $3,500 in damage. - KVIA
