One of the top 20 rudest cities in the United States of America is not too far from El Paso, in nearby New Mexico.

Apparently beach life doesn't really make peeps all that laid back and tranquil as 5 of the top 11 rudest cities in the USA are in California, Florida and North Carolina.

According to Preply: Cali made the list twice, (Oakland and Long Beach), Florida also scored twice (Miami and Tampa) and Charlotte, North Carolina also made the top 11 list.

I get California making the list more than once. If I had to live there, I'd be mad and cranky too. In Carolina's case, maybe it's because they have nice beaches but, half the year, it's too cold there to enjoy them.

Folks in Tampa are probably still PO'd about Tom Brady leaving and, as for Miami, it's probably all the retirees yelling at the tourists to "get off their lawn". The 2024 a-hole's list was put together by Preply.

In conducting the survey, the site’s analysts also found several running themes among participants. For starters, the most common rude behaviors cited by subjects were “lack of care for others, being loud in shared spaces, and a lack of self awareness,” according to Preply.com. The site also explained that the older a participant was, the more likely they are to think transplants to their city are ruder than those born in the area. - Preply

Texas wasn't top 10 but we did manage to squeeze 3 cities into the top 20. Houston, (13), Austin, (16) and Dallas. (18)  El Paso isn't on this because we're sweet AF, see the entire Preply list here.
