I'm sure if you're a listener of the Morning Show, everyone is a fan of "Game of Thrones" except me. Well, I watched season one, and then the final season. I don't really understand the middle of the show. Which is why when Diana Rigg passed away the other day I didn't fully understand everyone's references to "Tell Cersei it was me". I know it now and it's a pretty badass way to die.

Why am I talking about "Game of Thrones" if I wasn't even a fan, you ask? Well, here's something that struck my interest. George RR Martin, the guy who started but hasn't ended the "Game of Thrones" popped up on my newsfeed.

Apparently, the city of Santa Fe has denied a request by Mr. Martin to build a seven sided castle. A. CASTLE. Martin, who is a Santa Fe resident decided one day he wanted to build a seven sided castle at his compound much to the annoyance of his neighbors- who totally didn't want to deal with that. According to the Associated Press:

The city’s Historic Districts Review Board on Tuesday denied a request to allow Martin to exceed the building height limit in the historic district where he lives, the Santa Fe New Mexican reported. The project included a roof deck and an elevator tower.

“It is a medieval castle, and I don’t understand how we could possibly approve it in this style,” board member Frank Katz said.

Mr. Martin may have been responsible for the creation of Westeros and for the creation of Meow Wolf, but unfortunately for him, that seven sided castle will not come to fruition.
