New El Paso Bar Proves Growing up Sucks, and Arcade Games Will Always Rule

There's a new bar coming to the Westside this week and if you love arcade games, this is the bar for you! 

Rubiks Aracde bar is a brand new, 80's and 90's themed bar here in El Paso that want to bring you back to your best years. Owners Alex and Mariana have been dreaming about opening up their own arcade for years, and the time finally came for them to share some of their favorite games with El Paso. Alex has been collecting pinball and arcade machines for years, from a state-of-the-art Wizard of Oz pinball machine, to a vintage Donkey Kong arcade machine. Rubiks strives to bring you the best years of your life, all at a time in your life when you can finally legally enjoy a beer.

KLAQ's Lisa Sanchez and Intern Emily were allowed a sneak peek into the bar, to show listeners what they are in for when the bar opens this week. When owner Alex was asked, what were his favorite machines he put into the bar, he replied with the Tron: Legacy pinball machine, and the original Tron arcade game. Alex said they perfectly complimented past arcade gaming and the future of arcade. Also, the Metallica pinball machine was voted one of the Top Ten pinball machines and Rubiks has one for you to play!

With over 40 games, ample seating and a unique outdoor patio, Rubiks Aracde Bar is breathing new life into the El Paso scene.
