Calling all golfers and mental health advocates! Or even if you don’t know how to golf, no worries because NAMI’s 3rd annual Teeing Off For Mental Health Golf Tournament is a place for both pros and newbies.

The National Alliance on Mental Illnesses, NAMI, is hosting their 3rd annual golf tournament and they are inviting the community to sign up to participate in this event that will help the organization continue funding their free mental health programs that they provide to the community.

"NAMI El Paso provides advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental health conditions can build better lives,” said Isidro Torres, Executive Director for NAMI El Paso.

The golf tournament will happen on Friday, April 14th at Horizon Golf Course which is located at 16000 Ashford St.

Spots are still open for people to sign up to be par tof a 4 person scramble for the tournament.

Check-in will happen at 7 a.m. and shotgun will begin at 8:30 a.m. with lunch being provided at 12 p.m.

“This is one of the many events that NAMI El Paso does that helps us raise funds to continue providing free programs for those dealing with mental illnesses, or family members who have a loved one with a mental illness,” said Isidro.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses that would like to participate as a sponsor and/or as a team.

Teams fill up quickly so event organizers strongly suggest that participants sign up as soon as they can because once teams fill up they will no longer be able to accept applications.
