Mark McGrath is Going Deaf

Mark McGrath has been everywhere. He made the transition from Sugar Ray to television, becoming co-host of Extra in 2004. That led to a whole slew of television appearances on a multitude of shows, including recently being a house guest on Celebrity Big Brother.

Well, some bad news in the world of Mark McGrath, he's going deaf. McGrath has said:

"I'm deaf now . . . It's years and years of being on the road and being two feet in front of symbols and drums. High frequencies I can't hear anymore.  I'll be listening to people and they'll tell me their names and I can't hear anymore.  It's scary because my job is hearing."

Now look. I get it. Mark McGrath can be an easy target to make fun of. His hit songs are really wimpy, and he moved on to do gossip TV shows. But remember, he did once flip out on a fan.

And yeah, he's had come work done on his face that hasn't necessarily turned out the best. But that first Sugar Ray album was actually, kind of heavy.... sort of.
