Mark Cuban’s Final Shark Tank Deal Celebrates Texas Flavor
Y’all, Mark Cuban just gave his final “I’m in” on "Shark Tank"- and fittingly, he went out with a Texas-sized bite!
In his very last episode on the long-running ABC series, the Dallas billionaire and beloved Shark made one final investment- and yep, it was in a business serving up something delicious straight from the heart of Texas: gourmet deviled eggs. That’s right. Cuban didn’t ride off into the sunset without first backing a pair of Lone Star foodies with a bold (and tasty) vision.
Why is Mark Cuban Leaving Shark Tank?
So why’s Cuban hangin’ up his Shark hat after 14 seasons? Simple: family comes first. Back in late 2023, Cuban announced he’d be stepping away from the show to spend more time with his teenage kids before they head off to college. Turns out, the "Shark Tank" filming schedule- usually smack-dab in the middle of summer- was making it tough to enjoy those long Texas family vacations.
Mark Cuban made a heartfelt exit by investing in a business that resonates with his Texas roots. He partnered with fellow Shark Barbara Corcoran to invest in Deviled Egg Co., a Texas-based restaurant chain specializing in gourmet deviled eggs. The duo offered $250,000 for a 20% equity stake, with each taking 10% for $150,000.
Deviled Egg Co., founded by Raechel Van Buskirk and Alexi Wellman, began as a food trailer in Omaha, Nebraska, in 2017. After Buskirk's breast cancer diagnosis in 2021, the duo relocated to Texas to be closer to family and opened three grab-and-go locations in North Texas. The company's menu boasts 19 inventive deviled egg flavors, including crab rangoon, cheeseburger, and sriracha bacon.
Since the episode aired on May 16, 2025, Deviled Egg Co. has experienced a surge in online sales and launched a special sampler pack featuring the showcased deviled eggs. The company also ships nationwide, bringing its Texas flavors to customers across the country.
With a Texas food truck-turned-restaurant and a tray full of deviled eggs, Mark Cuban didn’t just make a final deal- he made a statement. He’s leaving "Shark Tank" the way any proud Texan would: by backing bold flavors, big dreams, and hometown grit. As Cuban rides off into his next chapter, it’s clear he didn’t just invest in a snack- he invested in a story, a family, and a future. And for Texas folks watching at home, that final “I’m in” felt just right.
