Local Walmarts have now added additional pickup times early in the morning for shoppers deemed high-risk by the company. Those who are at a higher risk of contracting the novel coronavirus have another option to try and safely pickup any essentials needed thanks to Walmart. About 2,400 Walmart stores around the nation are allowing early pickup from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. for:

  • Customers over the age of 60
  • First Responders
  • People with disabilities
  • Anyone else designated high risk

These customers will be able to pickup online orders through Walmart's curbside service, contact free per KRQE. Walmart's Senior Vice President of Customer Product Tom Ward said the company is working to help more customers get their essentials with safely and with peace of mind:

“Now more than ever, families are relying on our pickup service to help get quality, fresh groceries to their homes as safely as possible. These are extraordinary times, and we are constantly looking for ways we can help deliver that same peace of mind to all our customers, particularly those who are most at-risk.”

Not all Walmart locations will be participating in early morning pickup. To see if your local Walmart location is participating please visit the Walmart Grocery website.
