Liver King Faces Charges In Texas After Viral Rogan Video

The Liver King is back in the spotlight and this time, it’s not for raw liver or primal workouts. The Texas influencer was arrested in Austin after posting a chaotic video calling out Joe Rogan. Who is the Texas Influencer Liver King?

If you're somehow not familiar with the Liver King, kind of like how I didn’t until yesterday, he's the shirtless, bearded guy who went viral for eating raw organs and preaching “ancestral living.” Real name Brian Johnson, he's a Texas-based fitness influencer who built a multi-million dollar brand by promoting liver-heavy diets, primal workouts, and a lifestyle straight out of a caveman’s dream.

Before he was making headlines for getting cuffed in Austin, Liver King was making a fortune off raw meat and masculinity. Johnson launched his “ancestral lifestyle” empire by promoting nine core tenets; things like sun exposure, cold plunges, lifting heavy, and of course, eating uncooked organ meats like liver, testicles, and bone marrow.

Despite constantly claiming he was “natty”- aka all-natural- leaked emails revealed he was actually spending over $11,000 a month on human growth hormone and steroids. The internet exploded. Liver King eventually posted an apology video admitting he lied and saying he used steroids to manage health issues and boost his confidence. But for many, the damage was already done.

And just when things started to quiet down, Liver King decided to stir the pot with none other than podcast heavyweight Joe Rogan.

The two have a history. Rogan has been openly critical of Liver King for years, calling out the obvious steroid use long before the receipts dropped. Rogan even referred to him as a “walking Red Flag” and roasted the whole primal persona on his podcast. Naturally, Liver King didn’t take that lightly.
