If you're a woman on social media, you know there are a lot of dudes out there just willing to comment the most inappropriate things. Why? I still don't know. Do these guys honestly think a girl is going to react positively to a creepy post? "Oh that's hot. That's the kind of guy I'm looking for. The guy who can so eloquently express his feelings with an eggplant and sploosh emoji."

Well ladies, you are in luck. You can block certain emojis from your Instagram comments, and one woman is claiming it got rid of a TON of the creepy comments. To do this:

  • Go to settings
  • Go to privacy
  • Go to comments
  • There you will find an option for "Manual Filter"

Here you can add keywords and emojis to block. Here are the emojis to block:

  • Eggplant
  • Peach
  • Splashing sweat emoji
  • Mouth emoji
  • Three different smiley faces with their tongue hanging out
  • Drooling smiley face emoji

These all seem pretty self-explanatory, and it apparently works. The words you can block that will keep creepy comments away are also pretty self-explanatory. Anything sexually explicit will help keep the creeps away. You can also use the Instagram "Hide Offensive Comments" feature that will use Instagram's algorithm to block out what they consider to be offensive.

Of course, if you spend more than a few minutes on Instagram, you'll see the there are a lot of people out there who don't mind these comments. There are a lot of chicks out there that feed off this stuff.
