You know summertime is right around the corner when you see certain sights around town. Right before summer starts the neighborhood all along Kerbey Avenue displays their American pride every year. In fact, Kerbey Avenue is my favorite sight to see in the 915 that lets me know summer is almost here. When I was 5, I recall times I pretended to be the President of the United States of America riding through Kerbey Avenue. This kind of tradition Kerbey Avenue residents do annually is a beautiful sight to see. This is the kind of residence I would love to be apart of. I could actually see the residents in that area being like the neighborhood watch in the flick The Watch.

If you're like me who has always driven on Kerbey Avenue you're familiar with this summer arrival tradition. For example, when July rolls around you will see the Wells Fargo building lit up at night displaying the flag of the United States of America. It reminds me of how most of the houses in Eastridge decorate for Christmas. I always get excited to see neighborhoods come together to do something similar together. Another area that also displays American pride happens in July at the Misson Hills Park. I am not sure if any other neighborhoods in the Northeast, Central, Eastside, or another area that does the same. It's a good feeling when you start noticing flags around because that means we're closely approaching the 4th of July. If you have some sort of thing with your neighborhood let me know down below.
