If you are looking for a fun summer activity for the kids as the Texas heat cranks up, why not take a trip into prehistoric times?

Jurassic Quest is making its way to El Paso. If you have kids like me, especially a 2-year-old who is currently obsessed with dinosaurs, this could be the hit of the summer.

The event promotes a “larger-than-life dinosaur herd.”

You're gonna need a bigger weekend. Our world-famous, life-size dinosaurs are meticulously painted and animated to be realer-than-real. Whether you're 3 or 103, this is a one-of-a-kind experience you'll never forget.

It also claims to be the world’s largest, most popular Dino event with “unique and exciting experiences for the whole family.”

What exactly are those experiences?

You can play with baby Dinos, excavate fossils and even train a raptor while surrounded by a Spinosaurus or even the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

It’s all going down at the El Paso Convention Center Friday, June 23 to Sunday, June 25.

The hours for each day are as follows:

Friday: 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Sunday: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Tickets vary in price. A kids unlimited admission (ages 2-10) will run you $36, but it includes admission to the exhibit and unlimited access to dinosaur rides, Jurassic Jeeps, fossil dig and most dinosaur-themed inflatable attractions … AND one visit to the excavation station.

Kids standard admission (ages 2-10) is $22, but then you’ll have to pay separately for some of the other attractions listed above.

General admission for anyone age 11-64 is also $22.

Seniors can get in for $19 and kids under 2 are free.
