This weekend, you can party and chow down at, literally, the "edge" of Texas.

In far northeast El Paso, right where Texas and New Mexico meet, you will find The legendary Edge of Texas Steakhouse and Saloon. Located in what was once Newman Texas, The Edge has been serving up awesome food, ice cold drinks and more for decades. As another year comes around, and being that May is "Steak Month", what better time for an anniversary party?

The "Party at The Edge" celebration, a big 'ol block party right in front of the restaurant, begins at noon and goes until 10pm. Many of El Paso's best food trucks, like Craze and Kona, just to name a couple will be offering a variety of Mexican, Korean and even breakfast items while the Edge of Texas serves up their legendary steaks and burgers.

There will also be vendors like Sinister Kustoms and Salazarte on site as well as custom cars and more. The live music and entertainment comes courtesy of Los Chicharrines jr,  and DJ Nitro along with El Paso rockers The F-Bombs, Steel Queen Band and King Octopus.  All for only $5. (Military and kids 12 and under are free.)

Speaking of kids, there will be jumping balloons, laser tag and other entertainment for them as well as "kiddo" food items. Wash down your goodies with a variety of soft drinks and adult beverages or just cool off with some of the frozen treats available. There will be prizes for kids and adults given away throughout the day as well as fun contests.

The Edge of Texas is located at 8690 Edge of Texas which will be blocked off for the party but parking will still be available right next to the restaurant.
