A fundraising show has been setup for a man loved by many in the music scene in El Paso, Texas, and around the country. Daniel Mendoza was killed Sunday morning when the driver of a 2012 Kia Forte he was riding in lost control of the car and slammed into three parked vehicles on the 8900 block of Dyer.

Touch Bar and Nightclub will be hosting a benefit show for the family of Daniel. The event will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015 at 10:30 p.m. The venue is located at 800 E. San Antonio Street. A GoFundMe account has also been setup.

Daniel was a good friend with a kind heart and a love for animals. He worked at the El Paso Animal Emergency and Veterinary Specialty Center for many years. A lot of people remember Daniel's bright smile that would light up a room. Daniel had a passion for music and loved to attend concerts and festivals. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.

23-year-old Jesus Mireles was the driver of the car, he is facing an intoxicated manslaughter charge. Police say Mireles was allegedly drunk and speeding on Alps when he lost control of his car.
