The odds of being born in a Leap Year are slim, being born in a leap year and in Texas, even slimmer. These two did it though and now both are gone.
Overall, the odds of being born on February 29th are 1 in 1,461. Not huge but not exactly commonplace either. If you know, or are, a Leap Year baby; 2024 is the year you get to celebrate your birthday ON your birthday.
The place to party is totally Anthony, Texas ... the Leap Year Capitol Of The World. They are having a major bash Feb 29 - Mar 2, get tickets here.

It happens though, here are 2 well known Texans who were both "29-ers". They may have shared a birthday but there was NOTHING else in common at all. Literally, an Angel and a demon.
Original Drowning Pool vocalist Dave Williams was born 2/29/72 in Dallas, Texas. Dave, 2nd from the right, died in 2002 from a heart condition. Drowning Pool soldiered on, rising to great heights, but the incredible memories of their friend and brother have never dimmed.

Serial killer Richard Ramirez was born in El Paso, Texas on 2/29/1960. (Not that anyone is very proud of that) He terrified Californians in the 90's as well as others across the Southwest.
He died in 2013.
Leaving the lone star state completely, other famous "Leaplings" include musician Chris Conley, actor Antonio Sabato Jr and motivational speaker Tony Robbins.
