Fall Out Boy And Weezer Will Compete On Celebrity Family Feud

We now know what day we can see Fall Out Boy possibly "go down" and Weezer becomes the "Hero" on Celebrity Family Feud. Back in February, Weezer posted a photo on Instagram of the group competing on the show but didn't give many details. Now, we finally know when we can see the band competing, and who they're going up against.

A pre-Emmys episode of Celebrity Family Feud will air on September 20th at 7 p.m. ET. Playing against Weezer will be the guys of Fall Out Boy. And both the bands are bringing in some reinforcements to help them win. On the Fall Out Boy squad, comedian Seth Green will be assisting the Illinois emos, and Weezer recruited help from songwriter Suzy Shinn. Shinn is known for her work on Panic! At The Disco hits "High Hopes," "Hey Look Ma I Made It," and has worked with Ghost and Weezer. Fall Out Boy will be raising money for their Fall Out Boy Fund charity organization and Weezer will be raising money for the Reverb environmental and social issues charity. The show airs at 7 p.m. on ABC right before the 2020 Emmys. The 2020 Emmys will begin at 8 p.m. ET on the same network.

Weezer, Fall Out Boy, and Green Day were all supposed to head out on the co-headlining Hella Mega tour this summer, but it was sadly postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That world tour has now been postponed until 2021, that is, if we're allowed to have massive concerts by then. Here's to hoping we do.
