Everyone Is Losing It Over This TikTok Cake Cutting Hack

TikTok has really blown up during this pandemic. It's really become a great platform to get creative, maybe rant a little and, sometimes, TikTok even teaches you a thing or two. TikTok has certainly taught me some new things (like this delicious whipped coffee!). So when this video popped up on my TikTok feed let me tell you, I. WAS. SHOOKETH!

The video comes from a user named Rose, or better known by her username @theroseperiod. Clearly it's a birthday video, but the kicker comes when it's time to cut the cake. Cutting a cake can be tricky, especially when it's a round cake, but I think that @theroseperiod has actually created a great system for cutting cake, no knife required all you need is a wine glass! That's actually pretty neat, right?! People seem to love the unique method and the video has racked up more than 1.6-million views and half a million likes.

After losing the video in my endless loop of TikTok videos, I started seeing the video be shared on other social media platforms like Instagram and Snapchat; I even had a few friends try it for themselves, spoiler alert: you can use regular plastic cups as well! I'm not entirely sure if this could work for a bigger crowd, but it seems to work ever so perfectly when it's a small group of friends or family (which is how you're supposed to be doing it, because, pandemic)! While I think this is the first time I've seen something like this, I think it's pretty genius! What do you all think? What are some other cool hacks you've learned from TikTok?
