According to KVIA, over $5 million has been raised for the victims of the August 3rd shooting at Wal-Mart. But, in order to properly vet all information, the group managing the donations won't be able to distribute funds until December.

There are two different groups, the El Paso Community Foundation and the Paso Del Norte Foundation, that have joined into one group called One Fund El Paso.

Stephanie Karr, the director of One Fund El Paso, has said that 100% of the funds raised will go to the surviving victims, and families of the deceased. But, in order to make sure the money is allocated properly, it's going to take some time.

Karr also said that there are people out their claiming their raising funds for the victims fraudulently, and the FBI is looking into these cases.

So be careful who you are giving money to when it comes to donations. Unfortunately there are still be people out there looking to cash in on a tragedy.
