El Paso Needs This Trampoline Meter For Its Windy Season
Forget flying cows, in Texas we have flying trampolines! Well, it's officially March- approaching April- which can only mean one thing: high winds have officially hit El Paso. Emphasis on the "hit".
Every year, Spring in the Borderland means winds and dust, where it looks like we're trying to determine if we're in a scene from "Dune" or on the lawless planet of Tatooine!
And it never fails that every year we see things flying in the sky that we wouldn't normally see. Unfortunately, we also see some sort of horrible damage done, like this roof that flew off of a house and caused a small, but alarming, fire.
So, with the winds in the city, it's best to always have things around your house that could easily fly away tied down, or at least secured! I think FitFam perfectly sums up all the things that we could see fly away in the winds:
Did you catch some of them? In case you missed it, here's what you'll really want to make sure is tied down when it's super windy: TRAMPOLINES!
It may sound a little absurd, but there have been many instances of trampolines, and even jumping balloons, flying away when the wind speeds get super high! it's such a recurrence, its even made big headlines.
El Paso winds and trampolines don't really mix well, which is why I think that the North Texas Weather Center has the right idea by creating a "Trampoline Meter"
So it would seem as though it's not just an El Paso problem, it's a Texas issue!
Strong winds in the Borderland can cause major havoc, so if you have a trampoline, make sure to keep it tied down!
