Ted Cruz is a real piece of work. He battled it out with Donald Trump back in 2015 and 2016 leading up to the election. It got to the point that Trump made fun of Cruz's wife, and Cruz fired back. That was the last time I had an respect for Ted Cruz. Let's take a trip down memory lane and watch the two of them sparring in a debate before the 2016 election.

Yeah, remember that? Here's a clip covering the wife bashing.

"Donald you're a sniveling coward and leave Heidi the hell alone." - Ted Cruz

Well, let's fast forward a bit. Cruz stuck to his guns at the Republican National Convention when he wouldn't officially endorse Donald Trump.

That was the last time I had any respect for Ted Cruz. Since then he was become Trump's bitch boy. Cruz has been one of the leaders fronting the effort of the voter fraud claims. Even after the riots at the Capitol Building, Cruz still objected to the election results. Well, it's now getting to the point that a lot of people are asking for him to resign. There have been large groups of lawyers and students asking for him to be disbarred, and now newspapers are jumping in to the arena.

First it was The Houston Chronicle and The San Antonio Express-News that were calling for Cruz to resign. Now The El Paso Times is jumping on that train, telling Ted Cruz that he needs to stand down. In an op-ed piece the editorial board wrote:

Cruz shouldn't have ignored those who believe the election was rigged. But to borrow from the title one of his books, now was 'A Time for Truth.' And Cruz knew the Stop the Steal campaign was a fraud. Cruz faced immediate calls for his resignation. He needs to resign, but we know he won't step down. Cruz still needs to be held accountable for his conduct.

Unfortunately they have a point. He needs to resign, but he won't.
