On April 21st, 2020 The City of El Paso has released the latest numbers for COVID-19 cases in the city. As of tonight, El Paso stands at 47 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 587 confirmed cases.

The City of El Paso is urging El Pasoans to continue to follow the 'Stay Home, Work Safe' order and doesn't want people to go back to visiting and partying with family or friends who do not live in their household. Mayor Margo and El Paso County Judge Ricardo Samaniego are working together to plan out how to safely start reopening El Paso in regards to Texas Governor Greg Abbott's order to begin reopening the state.

The 'Stay Home, Work Safe' order has now has been extended till May 17th. Many parks and public areas have been closed in an attempt to keep people from possibly spreading COVID-19.

It is scary how fast the virus can be spread, especially when people are not practicing social distancing. Please take the proper precautions to keep you, your family, friends, and coworkers safe. Ultimately, keep your fellow El Pasoan healthy. Stay strong, stay healthy.
