El Paso Streetcar Hosting Mariachis, Moms & More Fun This Weekend

Beginning this Thursday, jump on board the El Paso Streetcar to be serenaded by mariachis, celebrate mom with a children's read & ride, and much more.

Since the return of The El Paso Streetcar, it began to offer several different programs to engage the community, such as Trolley Tracks featuring local musicians, opera singers, holiday celebrations, and much more onboard the streetcar.

A few other free events are coming up this weekend, including a mother's day celebration with a children's read and ride,  a serenade by mariachis, and a guided tour along the streetcar route.

Tour of The El Paso Streetcar

Celebrate national tourism with a guided tour ride by City Representative Peter Svarzbein on Thursday, May 5, celebrating National Travel & Tourism Week and Cinco de Mayo. Lunch will be provided. RSVP Required.

Mariachi Flores Mexicanas

Enjoy an authentic mariachi serenade with the all-female ensemble Mariachi Flores Mexicanas on board the El Paso Streetcar.

Children's Read & Ride

Celebrate mom this Mother's Day as the El Paso Library joins in for a fun read & ride as the El Paso Streetcar rolls through downtown.

• Date: Saturday - May 7, 2022
• Streetcar: #1511
• Time: Begins at 10 a.m.
• Admission: Free
• Boarding: Boarding starts at Glory Road Transit Center (100 Glory Rd.). Once the first ride reaches capacity, additional riders will wait approximately 15 minutes to board the next ride.

Passengers are welcome to board Streetcar #1511 at the Arts District streetcar stop off Santa Fe across from the Convention Center or anywhere along the route.
