El Paso School Closures – Is Your Kids School Shutting Down?

The El Paso Independent School District is considering a number of changes for next year which include school closures and mergers.  To learn more about the districts' plans, click here.  In a nutshell, the plan they refer to as "rightsizing" offers 2 options:

Option 1 of the plan calls for the closure of Alta Vista, Beall and Burleson elementary schools, and the early consolidation of Schuster. Option 2 would close Alta Vista, Douglass and Burleson, and also include the early consolidation of Schuster. - EP Herald Post

The meetings, all listed below, start at 5:00PM.

• • Jan. 9: Alta Vista, 1000 N. Grama St.; and Beall, 320. S. Piedras St.
• • Jan. 10: Burleson, 4400 Blanco Ave.; and Schuster, 5505 Will Ruth Ave.
• • Jan. 11; Douglass, 101 S. Eucalyptus St.
