A lot of 2020 grads didn't get to fully enjoy their graduations this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Even rock stars couldn't get their due in these crazy days.

Jason Hartless, a veteran of Ted Nugent's band, is one of the best drummers out there. In addition to wandering the world with Ted, he has also been attending the Berklee College of Music and graduated from that prestigious university in May.

Like so many other graduates this year though, he didn't get a graduation ceremony and the pandemic also forced the cancelation of the Ted Nugent tour he was about to embark on.

Enter a mutual friend of ours, musician, producer, and Jason's drum tech Randy Walker.

Randy put together an awesome video in which Jason is congratulated by members of Blue Oyster Cult, KISS, Styx, Cheap Trick, the Ace Frehley band and Ted Nugent himself among others.

On top of the graduation wishes, they also point out the fact that he got through college while hopping all over the world on tour and recording. Getting a degree is tough enough without that added pressure.

It is really unfortunate that so many grads didn't get the full-on honors they so rightfully deserve this year. To all of them, especially right here at home in El Paso, no matter what grade or educational level, I extend my own congratulations and best wishes.
