Paul Rodriguez, George Lopez, Cheech Marin, Alex Reymundo & Joey Medina all performed at the Abraham Chavez Theater in the early 2000s (as you can tell by the opening credits). The movie would be released in 2002 & it's still looked at some of the best material from all 5 comedians.

A good friend of the Buzz Adams Morning Show, Willie's 2016 special, The Truth Hurts, was filmed in El Paso. He wouldn't film it at the Plaza Theater or the Abraham Chavez Theater, he would actually film his special at the El Paso Comic Strip on Airway.

Gabriel Iglesias would film one of his most famous comedy specials in El Paso

Perhaps the most well known comedy special that not only was filmed in El Paso, but probably made El Paso know to the world was thanks to Gabriel Iglesias. Fluffy's 2009 special, I'm Not Fat...I'm Fluffy was filmed at the Plaza Theater and perhaps one of his most famous bits was talking about the El Paso favorite, Chico's Tacos.

Comedy specials weren't the only things recorded in El Paso; albums were too. Many of them were recorded at Sonic Ranch studios outside of El Paso. You can see a list of them down below.
