Texas isn’t perfect, but when it comes to cheating, it could definitely be worse! New data looking at interest in the married dating app Ashley Madison, shows that Texans land squarely in the middle compared to the rest of the country. That puts the Lone Star State in a pretty comfortable spot: not exactly winning a loyalty trophy, but also not earning a side-eye from the entire nation.

Texas Lands In The Middle When It Comes To Cheating

Texas ranked 30th out of 48 states, based on how often people search for Ashley Madison-related terms. The state averages 317 monthly Google searches per 100,000 residents, placing Texas firmly in the middle of the pack. That means Texans are showing less interest in cheating than states like Colorado and California, but more than states at the very bottom of the list.

So no, Texas isn’t claiming “most loyal state” status… but it’s also not waving any red flags.

Colorado Earns The Title Nobody Wants

If there’s one state that really stood out, it’s Colorado- and not in a good way!

Colorado ranked first overall, with 474 average monthly searches per 100,000 residents, translating to nearly 25,000 total searches per month statewide. North Dakota and New Hampshire followed closely behind, rounding out the top three.

How The Data Was Measured

The research was conducted by British live cam site Babestation, which analyzed Google search volume for Ashley Madison-related terms across the U.S.

They calculated the average number of monthly searches per 100,000 residents in each state, then ranked them to determine which states appear most likely to cheat- at least based on search behavior.

Important disclaimer: this data reflects interest, not confirmed cheating. Still, search trends can offer a pretty telling snapshot of curiosity levels.

At the end of the day, Texas isn’t claiming sainthood- but it’s also not leading the charge into chaos.

Landing in the middle suggests Texans are doing better than a lot of the country when it comes to relationship loyalty, even if no one’s pretending things are flawless. Compared to states at the top of the list, Texas looks relatively… chill.
