Cuffing season may be over but that doesn't mean that the sparks still can't fly this winter! And according to a new nationwide survey, singles are finding love in some of the most predictable places imaginable.

If you thought holiday romance meant twinkling lights, cozy date nights, or maybe even a festive Texas bar, think again. Because the top spot for a holiday meet-cute? It’s as basic as it gets.

Starbucks: The Most Predictable Dating Hotspot Ever

DatingNews and Prodege surveyed 1,000 U.S. singles, and a whopping 63% said Starbucks is the No. 1 place for a holiday meet-cute. And 65% even said Starbucks has the hottest customers.

The survey kind of makes sense, if you've ever stepped inside a Starbucks. Every Texas Starbucks is full of people in athleisure ordering iced drinks in 40-degree weather. Of course sparks are flying, it looks like the set of a modern Hallmark movie!

Gen Z is especially committed to the latte love story, with 73% calling Starbucks the place to meet someone. Millennials are right behind them at 66%. Love is brewing, literally, but doesn’t it seem like this is a… basic choice?

Chain Restaurants Also Make the Cut

If coffee isn't your vibe, don’t worry, the survey says holiday romance is also alive and well at chain restaurants. Again… very predictable.

Here are the top picks:

  • Olive Garden — 38%
  • The Cheesecake Factory — 37%
  • Texas Roadhouse — 33.5%
  • Outback Steakhouse — 33.1%

Nothing says “this might be love” quite like unlimited breadsticks or making eye contact across a giant slab of cheesecake.

And Texas Roadhouse being on the list feels incredibly on-brand. Cinnamon butter rolls? Country music? A line-dancing server or two? It’s already halfway to being a country music video about falling in love.

A massive 67% of singles even admit they’ve met or pursued a date at a chain restaurant. Cue the Hallmark music!

So Where Are Texans Finding Love This Winter? Apparently anywhere that serves caffeine or carbs.

Not holiday markets. Not scenic Texas trails. Not cozy nights by the fireplace. Nope, love is popping off at Starbucks and chain restaurants across the Lone Star State.

But hey, if your next great love story begins over a peppermint mocha or a basket of warm rolls, who am I to judge?
