Trucks and Tacos: How El Paso Can Recreate a Texas Landmark
Who doesn't love checking out the weird & wild roadside attractions in Texas? There are plenty to see but one of the most famous ones is located in Amarillo, Texas. Yes, I'm talking about the iconic Cadillac Ranch & I think El Paso can EASILY make its own version.
A little background on Texas' Cadillac Ranch
Found along Route 66 in Amarillo, the Cadillac Ranch was created in 1974 by the art group, Ant Farm. Today, people love visiting the weird sight of seeing these giant cars sticking into the ground with the rear end of the cars sticking out of the dirt.
The art display was made to show off the different styles of "tailfins" of cars used from the late 40s to the 70s.
It's truly a unique sight but that got me thinking...what would El Paso use if we wanted to do our OWN version of the Cadillac Ranch? I know there are some very creative minds out there, so I did some thinking and came up with 5 ideas for "El Paso's Cadillac Ranch"

Of course, it's not perfect by any means; there are many other things associated with El Paso that we can use. But hey it's a start.
I think with the vast amount of desert land found just out of El Paso heading west towards New Mexico, near White Sands, or heading east, we can definitely create something that's both unique (and downright hilarious) that also pays tribute to this truly iconic piece of Texas history.
At the very least, it would definitely make people come out to see the absolute ridiculousness of the creative minds we have here in El Paso.
