They say things are bigger in Texas, and it's true, but other states have big things too. In Arizona, some of that big stuff is weird stuff ...

Arizona has a lot of big things including one of the world's largest canyons, (part of the deadliest state park in the country), and over 90% of the largest Indian reservation in the United States of America.

Only 1 of them is a "natural" item.

Arizona has some interesting things to see and do. Some of the things to see are a little on the weird side and some are record holders. Like:

The World's Largest Cow Skull

You'll find this guy south of Tucson on Highway 19.

Located at the entrance of Longhorn Grill and Saloon off Nogales Highway, the self-declared largest cow skull is at least twenty feet high with horns measuring 30 feet from tip to tip, according to Medium. Although the skull is not real, it has become a staple local landmark in Amado. - azcentral.com

The World's Largest Petrified Tree

This is the only "natural" world's largest item in Arizona, it's in Holbrook at the Geronimo Trading Post. It's in several sections and weighs 80 tons. It's also free to visit since the pieces are scattered outside in the parking lot. There's actually an entire petrified forest nearby.

The World's Longest Map Of Route 66.

No idea why someone felt this was needed but, there have been 2. The first, located in Meteor City, crumbled. (See pics here.) The current "longest map of Route 66" title holder is at the Trovatore Motel in Kingman, Arizona. If you care, it's 206 feet long.

Rounding out the top 5 are the world's largest Kokopelli, (Camp Verde, Az) and the worlds largest Kachina. (Cave Creek, Az.)

The 'World's Largest Truck Stop'

Recently, my wife and I took a road trip from Sioux Falls to Saginaw, Michigan.

Why would we drive 15 hours to Saginaw? My wife has family there, plus we were going to see a concert in Detroit, but the show was canceled.

Since we already had the time off from work so we decided to spend a few days in that 'tourist destination' known as Saginaw. Sure, it's not Vegas or Florida, but it was nice to get out of town for a few days.

We drove down Interstate 29 to the Omaha area and picked up Interstate 80 then headed east across Iowa. Just to the west of the Quad Cities sits Iowa 80, the self-proclaimed 'World's Largest Truck Stop'.

LOOK: This Is What You'll See At The World's Largest Rattlesnake Round-Up

Rattlesnakes are part of the Texas Landscape, and here in West Texas we spend four days every year working on rounding up all the rattlesnakes we can find, and this is what it looks like.
