Have you ever gotten on a plane only to realize you are seated right next to a baby? Well, Japan Airlines is here to help you out. They have a new feature that will help you avoid babies on planes.

The airlines website says:

Passengers traveling with children between 8 days and 2 years old who select their seats on the JAL website will have a child icon displayed on their seats on the seat selection screen. This lets other passengers know a child may be sitting there.

While these feature won't be available in all situations, it is available in enough that if you're flying Japan Airlines, you'll be able to avoid a screaming child next to you.

Of course, I've never had a problem with screaming babies on a plane. It's called headphones. Get some solid over the ear headphones, possibly noise cancelling, and you are good to go. No noise whatsoever other than what you want coming your phone, laptop, or tablet.
