According to an email sent out by The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) to staff, students and faculty a third case of COVID-19 has been confirmed to be a UTEP student, who traveled overseas.

The email reassured everyone that the student had not returned to UTEP since the trip and stayed home for the recommended 14-days of self-isolation.

This third case is may seem scary but El Pasoans are staying strong through the news. So far, two out of the three positive case are recovering at home. We still have no information on what hospital the other case if currently be treated at.

Make sure to stay calm each time you hear about a case. Remember to wash your hands and do what you can to stay away from large groups of people.

We will continue to bring you updates on how the El Paso community is handling all cases and interactions around the city. Make sure to download the FREE 93.1 KISS-FM to receive app alerts when new information is confirmed.
