2022 Saw Some Really Weird Stuff Go Down In Texas
Texas is the second largest state in the union and it's filled with wonderful, wonderous and well, weird, stories.
The lone star state holds numerous records for various things, including what we'll call "oddness". Here are some ... a small few, relatively speaking ... strange stories from Texas that you may have missed in 2022.
In February, a Grand Prairie resident and snake lover was arrested for intentionally releasing his West Africa Banded Cobra into the wild. Yep, a cobra.
The February weather may have been too much for Nag but, to be safe, come Spring, heads up if you're hiking in Grand Prairie.
2 babies were born in Texas at 2 different hospitals, at 2:22am on 2/22/2022. It gets better, both Moms were in labor for two days. One more ... 2/22/22 fell on a "2'sday".
It seems every year, someone spots a Chupacabra. In 2022, "Choopy" was caught on camera near the Amarillo Zoo. I'm not sure ifi it's him or someone dancing in an old school Indian headdress. You be the judge, see a photo here.
A Mesquite, Texas weirdo was caught on camera, sniffing a woman's butt in a pet supply store. I don't think that's what Iggy Pop had in mind with "I Wanna Be Your Dog"..
Wait, wait, wait ... El Paso made the list too.
In October, a ton of SAT tests taken by El Paso high schoolers flew off a UPS truck and were seen blowing all over the road.
They got a lot of them back but over 50 remain missing leaving those poor kids worried they'll have to take it again.
The how I spent my winter break essay's should be hysterical.
I can't wait to read papers like "how to lock a UPS truck door", "successfully loading and retaining cargo", "what to do when you see stuff flying off your truck", "how to tick off teenagers in 10 seconds", etc, etc.
