2022 El Paso Space Festival to Blast Off This Weekend
Devotees of space and space exploration, indulge your out-of-this-world love of anything space at the 2022 El Paso Space Festival.
The annual space event, now in its fourth year, is returning September 17 with in-person activities taking place in multiple locations, including Sunland Park Mall and Hueco Tanks State Park.
The week-long festival sponsored by Insights celebrates all things space but isn’t just for space nerds. Family-friendly activities run the gamut from a movie night to stargazing.
The 2022 El Paso Space Festival will blast-off with the Space and Lunar Extravaganza kick-off event and conclude on Rocket Launch Day, Saturday, September, 24.
Space and Lunar Extravaganza
Saturday, September 17, Sunland Park Mall 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nerd Night – Sci-Fi Movie Night
Sunday, September 18, Alamo Drafthouse Montecillo 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Star Gazing Party
Thursday, September 22, Hueco Tanks State Park and Historic Site 7 p.m. to 10 10 p.m.

ELP – Sustainability in Space
Friday, September 23, El Paso International Airport 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The event will be held in the El Paso International Airport’s short-term parking lot in the Runway Plaza just outside of the main entrance.
There will be music, food, and entertainment by Robotron and Stormtroopers, plus educational tables focusing on space-related sustainability issues such as food, transportation, and solar and human-powered energy sources. [More Details/Event Registration]
Rocket Launch Day
Saturday, September 24, El Paso Radio Controllers Airstrip (6121 Stan Roberts Sr Ave) 8a.m. to 1 p.m.
