Every town has it's particular set of favorite foods that are unique to that place. Some cities live for crab cakes, some pizza, some snails (hey, we're not here to judge). But El Paso truly has some unique foods that we stick by, no matter what anyone else might tell us, no matter what the nutritional guides might warn us about, no matter how unappealing it might even look or sound.

Ok, I don’t think you can call it “street” food per say ,because it was technically a stand alone restaurant , plus it wasn’t a late night ,after pounding down cold malty drinks kind of a meal. I had it for lunch. So shoot me!
If you weren’t vegetarian before, perhaps it’s time to make the switch. Scientists in Japan have now created a way to synthesize “beef steaks” from human feces. The discovery was made after a Tokyo sewage plant approached scientists, asking them if they could figure out a way to utilize all the sewage sludge lying around.
