A Favorite Downtown El Paso Restaurant Is Relocating To Eastlake
The following announcement may be bittersweet for some of you. Especially those of you who work or live in the Downtown El Paso Area and love heading to ELEMI for some good tacos.
After years of serving up mouthwatering tacos and creating unforgettable memories in downtown El Paso, ELEMI restaurant is gearing up for a big move to El Paso’s east side!
As a fellow East Sider, I must admit that this news made me cheer! Especially since the area ELEMI is set to move to is on Eastlake Boulevard which is in my hood! *Cries happy tears*
The well-known mexican cuisine restaurant shared the news on their social media pages with the caption reading:
“Hello and happy Tuesday, El Paso! We are extremely excited to announce that we will be moving to Eastlake Boulevard!!!”
Restaurant owners wanted to make sure that the downtown community wouldn’t be too sad about this announcement and they mentioned that this move isn’t a complete goodbye to the downtown community.
“We have big plans to come back soon!”
I love a good teaser! There is no set date on when the new location will be opening, so the downtown community can still enjoy ELEMI’s downtown location on Saturday, October 21st.
“We will remain open at our downtown location until Saturday, October 21st. Please visit us! We are currently accepting reservations for the next two months.”
Elemi is an El Paso favorite and a hidden gem located in downtown El Paso off of Kansas and Mills. The restaurant is owned by El Pasoans Emiliano and Kristal Marentes and has received recognition for the unique and delicious food they have to offer that is inspired by the border and our Mexican culture.
