It's almost the weekend, which is my favorite time to crack open a can of...well, if I'm honest, these days it's usually PBR. Times are tough, but not as tough as they probably were before this day in 1935, when the Gottfried Krueger Brewing Company delivered it's first batch of 2,000 cans of Krueger's Finest Beer and Cream Ale to one of my favorite cities in America: the dirty river city of Richm

We enjoy a cold brew as much as the next guy. But Armageddon beer, which is made by Brewmeister Brewery in Scotland and has a massive alcohol content of 65% by volume, might be too much even for us.

In honor of UTEP's decision to sell beer at Miners football and basketball games, the KLAQ Morning Show wanted to pay tribute in just the right way. Our friend, the Kitty Commando (@KittyCommando), is already hard at work trying to put the impact of UTEP's decision to sell beer at Miners games into perspective. Great job so far! If you have a UTEP-Sells-Beer meme, post it up through Facebook below.

Call it a Hail Mary for attendance that might not be as big a prayer as it appears. With football ticket sales flagging as 1-6 UTEP is at the point of no bowl return, the university is opening up the taps on beer sales for both UTEP football and basketball games.
