This Saturday, all over the country, YMCA's are participating in Healthy Kid's Day.
Here are some little-known facts pertaining to kids and their health.

Did you know?

1.) Research shows that kids are more likely to gain weight over the summer months.

2.) According to the CDC, one in three kids in the U.S. are overweight or obese.

3.) When I was a kid, there was 1 fat kid per grade. That number is now 7. SEVEN fat kids in every grade!!!

4.) Fat kids never get picked first for sports, unless the sport is Tug-O-War.

5.) The average Japanese kid weighs 3 pounds more than the average American kid.....'s left leg.

6.) Jerry O'Connell was a fat kid. But, when he grew up he stole Rebecca Romaine from John Stamos. So, score one for the fat kids, I guess?
