WTF Wednesday: Kim Kardashian Keeps 90% Of Money Donated To Her Charity

Things must be tough for Kim K these days, since she has to keep money donated to her charity to make ends meet.

Kim Kardashian recently auctioned off many of her personal items and clothing to help those in the Philippines affected by the recent typhoon.

Very kind of here I admit, but when all was said and done with, only 10% went to the charity.  According to her she always gives 10% of her income to charity.  Kim said:

I do eBay auctions monthly and change the charity or church from time to time." "I give 10% of all my earnings to charities, not just these eBay auctions. This month it’s for the people of the Philippines, last month was Life Change Community Church."

If she generally donates 10% of her earnings, that's great.  However, if you do a special auction of your old stuff and say that it's for "X" charity, it should all go to that charity. WTF?  We're not talking "here's my usual donation from my weekly check" here, these items were set aside to be sold with the money going to a specific cause.

I've done a lot of charity work around El Paso with KLAQ as well as with the biker community and I understand that there are some unavoidable costs with raising money. When an item is donated though, there is no cost.  What it ultimately brings in, should go solely to the charity.

Not an over privileged, wannabe celebrity who has seemingly never known a rough time in her life.  Except for when her sex tape got out "without her permission" ... that must have been tough for her. (I wonder if she donated any of that money...)

WTF?  What do you guys think?
