I ask because I just read an interesting story about vinyl album sales...

Vinyl album sales are expected to beat those of compact discs in 2019. If and when they do, it will be the first time that has happened since the 80's. According to a report from the Recording Industry Association of America, vinyl album sales figures have grown by 13%. CD sales meanwhile are tanking, falling three times as fast as vinyl sales have grown.

Vinyl does, to me, offer a much warmer and fuller sound and the size of the album allows for more detailed artwork inside and out. With CDs, the art has usually been shrunk to the point that a lot of detail is lost and with digital downloads and/or streaming, you don't typically get any artwork at all. Those things, better sound and art, are 2 very big plusses for vinyl. What about you? Which do you prefer?
