I know, it's not what you want to think about. But if we brace ourselves for the worst now, we're prepared for it. It will be less depressing when/if it actually happens. So here's the question:

What are you going to miss most about Halloween in El Paso?

There are a lot of options, but for me, the number one thing has to be the KLAQ Halloween Parade. I've done it every year I've been on the MoSho, starting back in 2015. Here is what our themes have been:

  • Mad Max: Fury Road
  • 'Cereal' Killers
  • Wrestlers
  • Hocus Pocus

Hands down my favorite has been Mad Max: Fury Road, but that one had a ton of work put into it. I wasn't able to make it last year though. I had to head out of town and wasn't able to toss candy to everyone on the parade route. So I know what it's like to miss it. It sucks.

Now, I'm not saying there won't be a parade this year. I don't have that information, so I can not confirm it. So don't freak out yet! I'm just saying IF Halloween is affected by COVID-19, what are you going to miss? Here are just some options:

  • KLAQ Halloween Parade
  • The KLAQ Haunted House
  • Trick 'r Treating
  • The Parties

Again, I'm not saying Halloween is canceled. I hope it's not. But we are moving in that direction. Keep your fingers crossed, wear your mask, wash your hands, and keep your distance. Together, we can all save Halloween.
