Wet ‘N Wild, Chapoteo Water Park Will Be Open This Weekend
Wet ‘N Wild and one of the city water parks will be open this weekend and not a moment too soon.
With temperatures expected to climb into the mid-90s, the timing couldn’t be more perfect.
Moms Get in Free at Wet ‘N Wild
Get the grill, cooler, and floaties out of storage, and don’t forget mom.
Wet 'N Wild Waterworld opens for season this Saturday and Sunday, May 7-8. And because the opening coincides with Mother’s Day, moms get in free on Sunday with one full-price admission.
The 60-acre homegrown water park just outside El Paso in Anthony has more than 25 rides and attractions, including a lazy river and the largest wave pool in Texas.
For those who prefer not to keep it chill, there’s the crowd-favorite six-story high 4-person raft ride Jaguar Falls, and the more intense The Condor’s Secret, which will have you sliding down 3-stories at not-for-the-faint-of-heart speeds before swooping you up a near vertical wall.
Kid-friendly water attractions, VIP suites and cabanas, grills, and plenty of shade trees make Wet ‘N Wild a fun all-day family outing.
Wet N’ Wild will be open on Saturdays and Sundays only beginning this weekend, and then every day from May 27 through the end of July.
Chapoteo Preview Swim Fiesta
One of the City of El Paso’s regional water parks will also be open to the public this Mother’s Day weekend. Chapoteo Water Park is throwing its gates open this Saturday and Sunday for a “special opening event.”
Located just down the street from Lionel Forti park at 1225 Giles, the fiesta-themed Lower Valley neighborhood aquatic facility features a leisure pool, lap pool, kiddie pool, slides, water playground, lazy river, and climbing wall, as well as cabanas and a cafe.
The water park will be open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. One-day tickets for the preview event will be $8 Saturday and $15 Sunday.
All four El Paso Water Parks will open daily starting Memorial Day weekend through the summer.
