Townsquare Email Drama: Drill Sergeant or Drill Instructor?

My normally ho-hum emails from our corporate headquarters took a turn for the dramatic this morning as one of our websites, www.screencrush.com, reported on the passing of actor R. Lee Ermey.

Normally, this is as far as one of these notifications goes. There usually is no thread, at least not of the "reply all" variety. But this time someone DID "reply all".

So, not only did one of our corporate writers get called "stupid", but it was done right out in the open for everybody on the thread to see. The thing about calling someone out like that, though, is that you'd better be right about your correction. That brings us to email #3.

At this point, Lisa and Brandon are egging me on to get involved. Something you need to know about me: I'm not the most popular Town Square employee with the corporate folks. I always feel like I have a big target on my back. I know that interjecting in something that is none of my business is a gamble. But then, Lisa triple-dog dared me to post something. So I did.
