Tool Guitarist Evacuates Family During Wildfires, Unsure of House
Tool guitarist Adam Jones has evacuated his family from the ongoing California wildfires. Although he is unsure of his house, he assured fans in an Instagram post that he, his wife and their two sons are safe. He also posted some unsettling shots as smoke billowed over Malibu's picturesque landscape.
"Thank you for all the concern love and support," he wrote. "*This is crazy & heartbreaking. God bless all those affected by these horrific wildfires. I hope our home survives. If not - it’s just 'stuff' and I have my best friend Korin & our 2 boys safe & sound."
Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst revealed that his house burned down, while his bandmate Wes Borland lost a number of musical possessions such as guitars and pedals.
Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea fled his home and has his neighbor to thank for saving his home. "My house might have burned down down last night were it not for my friend Eric who defied the evacuation orders and stayed up all through the night armed with his wits and a garden hose, and put out all the little fires at my house and my neighbors, saving our asses," he wrote in an Instagram post. "He is a brave and beautiful, a selfless and kind man."
