This is National Ride Your Bike to Work Week

Please don't do this. If you've got a car, drive it to work. If you don't have a car, get a ride or use the bus.

Nothing is more infuriating than driving on one of the major thoroughfares of El Paso and getting stuck in a traffic snarl because some Jack-hole is riding their bike on a street that was clearly made for cars!! Look, I have a bike and I enjoy riding it...just not in the middle of the goddamn street where I'm going to slow down anyone who wants to go faster than my 19 mph average (downhill). Here are places it's acceptable to ride your bike : residential neighborhoods. Country lanes. Alongside the river. In the aisle at Sports Authority (if you're shopping for a new bike only). On the sidewalk.

   At least the goofball in this picture isn't wearing skin-tight, Lance-Armstrong-style bicycling clothes and the ridiculous plastic helmet. Those guys REALLY piss me off because you know they HAVE a car (probably a hybrid) but they choose not to drive it. Listen, dip-shit...I'll "share the road" with you when I'm allowed to enter my car in the Tour de France, fair enough?
