Damian Lillard doesn't get the hype that other players do. He does have a pretty good list of accomplishments though.

  • 4X All Star (2014, 2015, 2018, 2019)
  • All-NBA First Team (2018)
  • All-NBA Second Team (2016)
  • All-NBA Third Team (2014)
  • NBA Rookie of the Year (2013)
  • NBA All-Rookie First Team (2013)

Even with those accomplishments, he doesn't seem to get the hype other players do. His name usually comes behind Steph Curry, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and even Russell Westbrook. Yes, the very Russell Westbrook that Dame just eliminated from the playoffs in embarrassing fashion.

Is it because he's in a smaller market? Is it because he's on the West Coast and those games are played really late? That's for sports talk radio to discuss. I'm here just to show you something that Dame has done, that no one else has in over 20 years.

Eliminate a team from the playoffs with a buzzer beater. Lillard not only did it last night, but also did it against the Rockets back in 2014. Here is last night's shot.

Now let's travel back in time a bit. Here he ends the Rockets season.
