We got a call from a mail carrier asking for a shout-out to all the postal employees who would be making the rounds despite the nasty weather. Now, I believe mail carriers are hard-working civil servants, without whom all of our lives would be much poorer. But, I'm not going to pat you on the back for something you've been already BRAGGING about for the past hundred years or so. Sorry, Mr. McFeely, but if you wanted kudos for braving the inclement weather, maybe you should've dialed back on the self-congratulations when you had the chance. "Neither rain nor SNOW nor dead of night"...ring any bells there, Speedy Delivery? You guys have been beating that drum at least since the last Pony Express rider hung up his spurs. I appreciate what you do, but you can't expect a tip o' the hat for something you've already been bragging about for years. Look on the bright side, though, postal carriers: it's probably too cold for dogs to try and bite you today
