The next time you get pulled over in New Mexico, it could be the Hulk asking for your license and registration. Looks like the law has a new face over in the Land of Enchantment, and you don't want to get this guy angry. Lou Ferrigno was famous for bringing the legendary Marvel comic book hero the Hulk to life in the 1970s CBS television show. Ferrigno is now the newest recruit for the Socorro County Sheriff's Department and will be sworn in this week. This isn't Ferrigno's first time working with law enforcement. He was a reserve deputy in two California counties and is also a member of Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio's volunteer patrol group, according to the Guardian.

Lou Ferrigno will be assisting the Socorro County Sheriff's Department by helping recruit new officers to the department. While his new role will have the veteran actor and bodybuilder working mostly behind a desk, he could be used in the field as well. According to an interview on the Lou Ferrigno website, becoming a sheriff is something Ferrigno has wanted his entire life:

“People assume it’s just an honorary thing. It isn’t, because I’m certified and I have police powers which I’m very proud of. So, I went through all the driving, the shooting, the studying, and it changed my life and I’m very happy to be a real-life hero, protecting life and property.”

Lou Ferrigno will be calling into the Buzz Adams Morning Show this week to discuss his new role with the Socorro County Sheriff's Department don't miss it! Find out more about Lou Ferrigno at his website.
