There are lots of great holiday classics, like "It's a Wonderful Life", and lots of modern holiday classics, like "Elf", there's even movies that you wouldn't think are holiday movies but they totally are- like "Die Hard' (YES, it's a Christmas movie!).

But with so many to choose from, how can we know which one is the Lone Star state's favorite? Well, that's where Google Trends comes in handy. Wealthy Nickel used data from Rotten Tomatoes and Google Trends to rank the most popular Christmas film in each state.

Out of all the holiday movies available, Wealthy Nickel concluded that the 2018 animated film "The Grinch" came out on top in Texas!

There are currently three movies based on Dr. Seuss's 1957 book, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!". There's the 1966 animated television special with the same name, the 2000 live-action film also titled the same as the book, and the 2018 animated film "The Grinch," and this is the one that came out on top in the Lone Star state, as well as in Louisiana and Arkansas.

There were 20 top movies in total that made the list of most popular holiday movies that included "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Edward Scissorhands". By the way, "Edward Scissorhands" was the top movie in New Mexico. Now, that's a movie I have to ask "Is this a Christmas movie?!"
